The Quilt Association is a registered charity, run by volunteers, and focuses on the following activities at its base in Llanidloes - The Minerva Arts Centre:
- Caring for its collection of antique quilts, many of which are from the local area.
- Holding an annual summer exhibition, featuring antique and contemporary quilts.
- Providing a programme of related workshops.
The Minerva Arts Centre is used for other exhibitions, textile, crafts and arts related throughout the remainder of the year, including a Vintage Style sales exhibition and a Christmas Craft Fair. The facilities can be hired, and are popular with other organisations for workshops, lectures and courses.
