Impetus Dance Community Interest Company is a not for profit organisation that provides communities the opportunity to dance with no boundaries to age , ability or how we relate to ourselves.
We run weekly inclusive dance sessions for -
* Children fully integrated inclusive dance, ages 6-16 years on Fridays 5-6pm
* Young adults standing inclusive dance, ages 17-30 years on Wednesdays 6-7pm
* Competitive Para and Inclusive Dance sessions Wed & Fri, please get in contact to discuss.
All classes are run in Pencoed Comprehensive School.
We also coach the Welsh Para Dance Team who train in Pencoed Comprehensive on a Wednesday night.
We work closely with organisations, companies & charities who want to encourage and promote fitness, improve health, increase well being or teach wheelchair skills within the South Wales area.
Impetus Dance is affiliated to UKA Dance, British Dance Sport Association, Inclusive Dance UK, Welsh Sports Association and the Royal College of Occupational Therapists.
We are also proud supporters and partners and with the charity Bridgend Inclusive Network Group and we work closely with Bridgend County Borough Councils Prevention and Wellbeing Team and Disability Sport Wales.
Our Instructor is an IDTA trained Dance Teacher, Para Dance & Inclusive Dance Instructor & World Para Dance Coach as well as an HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
