FibroSupport - Wales seem to be the only lifeline for those living with Fibromyalgia. As a team we have recently started a petition to the government to address this and many members are reiterating that we are their only solace.
They are diagnosed and many then left to fend for themselves, to understand and take in a diagnosis that is going to totally change their lives. All medications on there own come with side effects that just add to the problem .
We want to become a registered charity so we can try and fill this gap. Pain and isolation leads furthermore to depression, hopelessness and in some extreme cases a lack of will to go on. We need to act, we need to help and we need the support.
Besides the web based support we also offer monthly social meetings in many locations in Wales, which are advertised via our social media platforms and can also be found in the events tab. At our social meetings it gives you a chance to meet the admin team and other fellow sufferers.
