West Wales Care and Repair

West Wales Care and Repair is a charitable organisation assisting older or disabled people who need assistance with repairs, improvements or disabled adaptations to their homes. Our services cover all areas of Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion.

We aim to visit our clients in the comfort of their own homes and can offer tailored assistance and advice to help people live in properties that are warm, safe and secure.

Always aiming to improve the homes of older or disabled people, our caseworkers can visit to advise on prevention of falls, home safety, fire safety, house security, welfare benefits and energy efficiency.

We are funded by Welsh Government, Local Authority and Local Health Board.

What do we do?

Advise and assist in arranging and financing adaptations or repairs.
Home maintenance for minor works.
Give technical advice.
Give Benefits advice, for example helping people apply for disability-related benefits like Attendance Allowance, or other state benefits like Pension Credit.
Advise on possible grants or benevolent funding.Work in partnership with Ceredigion County Council, Pembrokeshire County Council and Hywel Dda University Health Board.

What will it cost?

Our advisory services are free, although some of our other services have an administrative contribution.
