“Y Lanfa / The Wharf: Powysland Museum & Welshpool Library - The museum depicts the archaeology and social history of Montgomeryshire. With many fascinating objects including Laura Ashley , the Montgomeryshire Yeomanry and archaeological hoards. There is an outreach programme whereby the museum can loan out its handling collection to schools, colleges, nurseries, and residential care homes.
With the recent merge with Welshpool Library the site now offers a full library service including a wide range of reading and reference books, audio books, DVD's, WIFI, computer facilities, printing, and photocopying. The Library is also a Customer Service Point for the public to access certain Powys County Council services.”
