There is fast growing evidence from scientific and social research  which supports the use of the arts and music to help us feel better.  What we have noticed and experienced ourselves is that the benefits of  listening to and making music, makes life joyful! When life is difficult  for people especially in areas of health and economic inequality, music  can make a big impact on closing the gap and making a difference to  people’s everyday lives.
Music Now's Purpose is to To bring people together, aid development of social cohesion for sustainable communities, build relationships for health and wellbeing and quality of life through creative and therapeutic musical activities.
James Lowe is a musician and sound artist with more than 30 years of  esperience in lighting and sound design, travelling internationally with  numerous bands in the eighties and nineties, and as a session musician.  From tuition, facilitation and production to playing live keyboards and his own sound art, James uses  every bit of his musical knowledge and experience to collaborate with  others and to pass on his love of music.
Tanya Dower is a vocalist, creative and therapeutic arts and sound  healing practitioner, born and bred in the Cynon Valley. She  predominantly works with voice in all its forms but is equally  comfortable with electronic and natural instruments including some  percussion. She uses the healing nature of sound to offer treatments  with voice and tuning forks, and cultivates musical interactions for  education, health and wellbeing, empowering people to thrive in the  world around them.
