Families experience challenges and difficulties on many levels. Juggling our own adult needs - mental health issues, social isolation, and poor self esteem can make it very challenging to meet the needs of our children. Within Rhondda Cynon Taff and Merthyr Tydfil volunteers will offer weekly emotional support to families for 2-3 hours enabling them to become more resilient. In turn they will feel more confident in meeting the needs of their children and ultimately making a difference to family life. Support offered is confidential and non judgmental. Initial discussion with the family ensures the support offered is tailored appropriately to meet their needs.
Volunteers visit families once a week for 2 - 3 hours, offering emotional and practical support.
