We are a fully volunteer organization offering transport to Hospital, Doctors appointments, Shopping plus others for persons 60 years of age or older and need help due to incapacity or illness (either long or short term). We are dementia friendly, although a chaperone would be required. We cannot accept wheelchair users.
We normally operate Monday to Friday 09.00 to 17.00hrs. We can consider emergencies on a Saturday, such as late Hospital appointments if a volunteer can be located.
Charges do apply; A minimum of £2 up to 4 miles then .50p per mile. There are set charges to places like Bangor Hospital, Llangefni, Holyhead, Amlwch, Cemaes, Llanfairpwll and Llandudno.
All Potential Service Users must be Assessed before being accepted on to the scheme.
