The British Training Board (tbtb cic)

We are very proud to be a Community Interest Company (CIC) this means that we are a company that helps a specific community to achieve a specific target or goal.
Our community is the Armed Forces and public services community. Our goal is to make the training and skills gained in the Armed Forces and other public bodies recognised by civilian employers and get you the best start on the way to your second career and to help you with your qualifications while still serving.
Since the launch in 2014, we have successfully helped 3657 serving and Ex-military personnel to get recognition for the previous military and public services training and experience. The research pilot finished on 30 September 2017.
On the 5th October 2017, the Launch of the new British Training Board services included: one to one career coaching (while in service) to aid retention, skill translator service to "Shadow" their military or public sector job role, and to identify where the skills gap are, provide an ongoing career development plan, that is designed to complement the role they are doing in the military or public service, while keeping the civilian accreditation so that when it comes to job search after a long and fruitful career they can move into civilian employment with little or no transition needed.
2018 saw the process being finalised and specialist military and police units using the service to gain higher level qualifications including Degrees from our Higher Education partners
2019 is the start of Global launch of various projects. There projects will be launched at a series of Launch events which started with the first event in the home of the British Training Board, Swansea on March 22nd.
This first event gave business leaders, the MOD and public service representatives an overview of the projects and their aims and timeframes.
Armed Forces Community Academy (AFCA)
Is the only dedicated program for the whole of the Armed Forces and public services community. We will keep you on track with your qualifications while SERVING with your own Career Development Manager (CDM) and when you have completed a long and fruitful career, we will point you in the Right direction with our Right Foot Forward approach. When your service is done we will help you as a VETERAN to start your new career.
Our support also extends to your immediate family as we all know that partners/spouses and dependents have a hard time. So we think they should get something back, therfore we have a Partners Positive Direction program that will do just that.
