Spectacle Theatre Ltd was established as the Theatre in Education company for Mid Glamorgan in 1979 and has developed into an International award-winning company specialising in participatory arts. Spectacle gained charitable status in 1986 and is governed by a board of trustees. Spectacle Theatre’s management association is the Independent Theatre Council (ITC). Its charitable objects are: To promote, maintain and advance education, particularly by the production of educational theatre and the encouragement of the arts, including the arts of drama, mime, dance, singing and music and to further the development of public appreciation in the said arts.
