Cwm Taf People First is a self advocacy charity for people with learning disabilities who live in the Blaenau Gwent, Merthyr, RCT & Torfaen. Membership is free and can be done by people themselves, Local Authority or Third Sector referral. The Charity empowers people with learning disabilities to challenge prejudice and discrimination through training education and support, provide training, self-advocacy support and activities which centres around self advocacy and learning disabilities.
The charity supports people with with learning disabilities to sit on the Local, Regional and National Learning Disability Groups to co-produce, co-create, co-design and co-evaluate health and social care services to enable them to have voice, choice and control over their lives
