Cowley Community Closet

We run monthly clothing swap shops, providing space for people of all genders and sizes to connect and swap the beautiful clothes that are already on the planet.
Our focus is community care and fostering a more connected and sustainable lifestyle, not just through conscious consumerism at our swap shops, but also in our other community initiatives. We work with amazing volunteers to offer free self-defence classes in Cowley and Cardiff which are available to anyone who identifies as at-risk. Our community corkboard hosts links to fundraisers, indie business ads, gig posters – whatever our community are up to, we want it on the corkboard.

Our Cardiff swaps are on the second Saturday of every month, from 2 until 6pm. Our events in Cardiff are hosted by Umbrella Gallery, in Capitol Shopping Centre. We have a quiet hour at our swap shops from 2 - 3 pm. There is no music playing and we ask visitors to lower their voices. You do not need to have a diagnosis to attend quiet hour.
