Age Connects Advocacy Service

We provide advocacy to older people aged 60+ in a care home setting in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. We also provide community advocacy to older people in The Vale and a limited service in Cardiff.

Referrals for Independent Professional Advocacy for care home residents are taken on a referral basis, and we also routinely visit all care homes across Cardiff & the Vale at least once every 3 months. All advocates complete a lateral flow test prior to visits.

We also continue to provide virtual visits, attend residents’ meetings remotely and support individual residents via telephone where requested.

We are also responding to community referrals across Cardiff and the Vale and undertaking home visits where needed.
