Steps to Progress is a course run by The Wallich to support individuals with developing important life skills, including confidence, communication and resilience.
The course is 10-15 weeks, with weekly 2 hour sessions. It runs in Cardiff, Newport, The Vale and Swansea. Each session focuses on a different subject such as communication, team work, being your own best friend and goal setting.
Towards the end of the course, we aim to support individuals with looking for future opportunities and finding ways for them to achieve their goals. This varies depending on each person, but could be education, employment, volunteering or training. After the course is completed, we hope each person will have been referred to another positive opportunity to continue their progress. We have a progression mentor who is able to continue supporting the individuals with what they would like to achieve afterwards.
