The Occupational Therapy Service can arrange for small adaptations or advise individuals on where to purchase small pieces of equipment. A more in-depth specialist assessment for the provision of larger adaptations may be necessary.
We support with telecare solutions to assist individuals who may be prone to falls or wandering. Telecare can also be used to help manage medication for individuals who may forget to take it.
We work with individuals and their carers to support with moving and handling difficulties. The service has Moving and Handling Advisors who also provide training to domiciliary care providers.
We provide specialist seating assessments for children in conjunction with colleagues in education to ensure that children with significant disabilities can be supported in the right seating to achieve their maximum level of independence.
