KCCLP manages the site of the former Knucklas Castle, surrounding woodlands, a community orchard and community allotments. It organises regular events - cultural, educational, historical and enjoyable - to which all are welcome. It has, after more than a decade of fundraising finally raised sufficient funds to buy the lands that it manages in order to safeguard their permanent public use and enjoyment.
KCCLP aspirations include:
– a local, sustainable future for all where we will nurture our precious resources, adjust our ways of living, listen, and learn from the experiences of our elders;
– a new beginning for our youth, practical re-skilling, learning through nature, play and co-operation;
– a legacy that will increase resilience to withstand global and local shocks brought about by fluctuating markets, energy prices and climate change.
