Gorwel is a Business Unit within Grŵp Cynefin. Gorwel’s main focus is to provide support services in the field of domestic abuse and homelessness prevention. Gorwel operates in Gwynedd, Môn & Denbighshire; projects include refuges, supported housing schemes, children and young people services, support in the community and independent domestic violence advisory service
The type of support provided can include:
Support with life skills and independent living skills
Support to manage finances and maximise income, to draw up budget plans and claim welfare benefits
Support in responding to housing issues and maintaining a tenancy
Support to access education, training and employment opportunities
Support to attend meetings with external agencies.
Advice and support to lead a healthy and active lifestyle
Support to improve the quality of life
