Deafblind Cymru, Reconnections Cymru

Our Reconnections service supports those with dual sensory loss in reconnecting with their local communities, accessing social opportunities and reducing their isolation. We offer in person support where we work 1-1 with individuals to increase their confidence, social mobility and access to social opportunities.

This service can be tailored to meet the unique support needs of each person, and the goals set can range from simple to more complex ones, such as building the confidence to visit a local cafe or join a local community group. It might be the case that someone is unaware of the opportunities available or are too anxious to leave the house, leaving them lonely and isolated. We provide research into local social opportunities and offer support in easing back into social life. We also host our own monthly social groups as part of this service and are keen to welcome new attendees.
