Ruskin Mill Trust colleges provide specialist further education facilities and services for young people aged between 16 and 25, who are unable to access mainstream further educational provision in their local college because of learning difficulties or disabilities and/or behaviour that challenges.
Coleg Ty'r Eithin opened in September 2020 and offers a pioneering and unique experience for students from Wales and other parts of the UK.
The educational method which underpins the work of Ruskin Mill Trust is Practical Skills Therapeutic Education. This method has been developed over 30 years out of the insights of Rudolf Steiner, William Morris and John Ruskin.
Students have opportunities to learn through real life purposeful activities that enhance their intellectual, emotional and physical wellbeing.
They will make real progress towards developing personal, social, vocational and independent living skills, and will interact by meeting new people and making new friends.
