We act as the united voice of all disabled people in Carmarthenshire to promote equality, rights and social justice. The Equality Act 2010 gives disabled people the right to be included in the processes that deliver services and facilities for their needs. This is also emphasised in the 2014 Social Services and Well Being Act that directs Care Partnerships to 'co-produce' services alongside citizens. The Disability Coalition represents disabled individuals and associated organisations as a focus for consultation and the 'co-production' of services and facilities by statutory and independent service providers. By becoming a member and taking an active role you can ensure that issues affecting you are heard and dealt with.
