What we do:
We provide the following Mental Health Advocacy support services across North Wales:
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)
Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA)
Paid Relevant Persons Representatives (RPR)
We also provide:
Community Mental Health Advocacy in Conwy & Denbighshire
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) in Powys
Community Advocacy in Gwynedd and Anglesey, with the NWAAA leading on the project. Referrals for this area are taken by the NWAAA and later triaged to our advocates when required

Who do we support:
Community Mental Health Advocacy offering representation and support
Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA) to anyone being treated for a mental disorder in a hospital/registered establishment
Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) provide legal safeguard for people who lack the capacity, and who do not have family/friends to support them, to make specific important decisions
Paid Relevant Persons Representatives have specialist knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards legislation

No

Can anyone use this service?
Anyone can refer to our Community, IMHA but only a Local Authority or Health Board can refer to our IMCA service.
