This group is totally separate from the Glyn Valley Tramway Trust, although they have similar names. The New Glyn Valley Tramway & Industrial Trust (TNGLT&IHT) is the successor to The Glyn Valley Tramway Group which was established in the early 1870's. The TNGVT & IHT is continuing the work and ideals of the GVT Group and its core objective is to 'conserve, research and interpret the Industrial Heritage of the Ceiriog Valley, and, particularly, of the former Glyn Valley Tramway' (taken from the Trust's Mission Statement). The Trust's current project is to create a Glyn Valley Tramway and Industrial Heritage Centre in the former Glyn Valley Tramway Locomotive Shed (a Grade II listed building) in Glyn Ceiriog which will be of benefit to the Ceiriof Valley community and beyond. The Locomotive Shed is owned by Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) a TNGVT & IHT have successfully negotiated a lease for 25 years from WCBC.
