Provided by Icebreakers
Icebreakers is the result of an exciting partnership between SPPOT and Dewis CIL. SPPOT (Supporting People and Pets through Opportunity and Training) is a Community Interest Company providing accredited training and volunteering opportunities for people who are furthest from the job market, in the field of canine care and training. Dewis CIL (centre for Independent Living) are a well-established Direct Payments and Advocacy Organisation in Wales. Dewis specialises in enabling people to set up and run their own services.
Icebreakers are a social, fundraising and enterprise group whose ambition in 2016 is to create a Community Café at Simpson Cross Community Centre serving the groups who use the hall and the public, thus raising money to keep the hall open and develop Icebreakers further. We also run a Dog Daycare project, Saturday Spectacular Events and weekly activities that are good fun and often just that little bit different!
Members' sessions are: 9.30am to noon
The 'Open to All' session runs from noon till 2pm
There is a £2 charge for the session and an additional £1.50 for lunch
We are always grateful for any support at our events and practical help from volunteers.
